So last year they actually let someone from the classical realm sing the National Anthem for the Super Bowl, and it was quite awesome (and also the fact that my team won). It made classical music nerds like me happy. IMHO, it was one of the two best National Anthem performances:

This is my other favorite, unfortunately nearly forgotten due to the wardrobe malfunction in the half time show:
I’m not a huge football fan, but nevertheless I really enjoyed these performances.
